If you’re goal is to climb the ranks of the game and win millions of facebook poker chips, you should already have an understanding of the rules and basic strategies of the game, so I wont be covering how to check, bet, raise or what cards are needed for a flush or straight. Instead we will focus on general intermediate strategies and pointers that will help you become an better overall player who is able to handle the challanges of higher level play.
Players in lower level games don’t have many facebook poker chips to start out with, so they don’t have much to lose. This usually leads them to call hands with little or no chance of winning the pot just because they want to be involved in the game and feel some excitement. Once you start accumulating a decent stack of facebook chips however, your play should become selective and you shouldn’t be so quick to jump into hands that offer little reward and high risk. It’s easy to get fooled by the perception that everytime you lay down your hand you are missing out on the possibility of landing a monster hand in Facebook Poker, but for every great hand that you miss out on, there are 10 others that never materialized and playing them would have only served to whittle down your stack of facebook chips, leaving you short stacked and unable to take advantage of the great hands.
Bluffing in Facebook Poker is also another great strategy to win millions of chips. Care must be taken to do it correctly however, or else you risk not only your chips but your reputation in the game as well. Bluffing is a skill that takes days to learn but years to master, but you can pull it off successfully if you keep a few points in mind. You should never let your ego get involved in bluffing. Sometimes players in Facebook Poker develop rivalries in the game and this begins to reflect in their game play. Often a player will reraise or make a large bet against another player to try and teach them a lesson for having previously taken their facebook poker chips in another hand. A bet or raise should never be based on emotions, it should only be made when the likelihood of winning the hand seems statistically in your favor.
Players should also try to vary their play in the game whenever possible. Once your opponents realize that you always bet with strong cards and bluff or fold with weak ones, it won’t be long before they’re crafting their strategy around your weaknesses in order to steal your facebook poker chips when you least expect it. It’s wise to occasionally make intentional mistakes and switch up your game play style so that your opponents will have trouble labeling your as one type of player. If after hours of conservative play you start bluffing and raising and reraising, you will throw other players off guard and it will take them some time to adjust to your new style. Just make sure that you don’t waste too many of your poker chips when trying out this strategy.
Follow these guidelines and you should have no problem rising through the ranks of both your friends and facebook poker players all over the world to get your name on the top players list. Winning millions of facebook poker chips is not an easy feat, but with discipline, patience and a little luck, it’s a goal that any poker player can accomplish.
